Publishers Group West Signs 10 New Clients

NASHVILLE, TN (August 15, 2022) — Publishers Group West®, an Ingram Content Group Publisher Services brand, announces today the addition of 10 new clients to its global distribution network effective this fall: Aeon Books, Barbican Press, DeVorss & Co., Erewhon Books, Golden Notebook Press, The Hero’s Journal, Jawbone Press, Medicine Wheel Press, ScienceWiz and Shoemaker & Co.

Aeon Books Ltd is a UK-based independent publisher dedicated to publishing books with a focus on botanical medicine. The publisher was established by two practicing medical herbalists with a goal to publish and promote the best writing in contemporary complementary medicine.

Barbican Press matches readers to novels, poetry and nonfiction that help them explore different cultures, places and people around the globe.  

DeVorss & Company is a book publisher and distributor of metaphysical, inspirational, spiritual, self-help, and new thought titles. Since its first day of business in 1929, DeVorss & Company has been solely committed to providing booksellers and readers worldwide with material that leads their mind, body and soul to new levels of spiritual awareness.  

Erewhon Books publishes thoughtful, groundbreaking, and unforgettable works of science fiction, fantasy and everything in between. Golden Notebook Press will launch its publishing program with Abigail Thomas' new memoir Still Life at 80. Thomas' A Three Dog Life was named one of the best books of 2006 by the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. It also won the 2006 Inspirational Memoir Award given by Books for a Better Life. In her new memoir she ruminates on aging during the confines of Covid with her trademark mix of humor and wisdom, including valuable writing tips along the way. The publisher will follow up this publication with five new titles in 2023.

The Hero’s Journal publishes journals and planners that help users build a positive life narrative and achieve their goals. The Journal combines the best in goal setting science with the power of story. This entrepreneurial approach to journaling is available in four separate iterations.  

Jawbone Press is an independent publisher of books about music and popular culture based in London, England. Established in 2007, Jawbone has published intimate memoirs of and informed commentary on a wide range of popular music covering everything from Bowie to Wilco to Tiny Tim.

Medicine Wheel Publishing focuses on culturally authentic Indigenous books, resources and tools specialized for moral and cultural education. Each book teaches a positive moral message designed to invite all children, youth and adults to engage and participate in culture with authenticity and respect.  

ScienceWiz are the creators of an award-winning line of books and kits designed to teach fundamental scientific concepts to children through hands-on play. With so many disciplines in science, its work may never be finished, but along the way, ScienceWiz hopes to inspire young minds to love learning.

Shoemaker & Co. was founded by the publishing veteran Jack Shoemaker. It will focus on specific author-driven literary ventures with a focus on mindfulness and political awareness in publishing.  The program will launch with the publication of Wendell Berry’s new work of non-fiction, The Need to Be Whole.
