Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”) is pleased to announce the expansion of its distribution center in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania through the addition of book manufacturing and print-on-demand services. This expansion will better meet the print and distribution needs of booksellers, librarians and publishers. As Ingram’s print-on-demand, wholesale and distribution businesses continue to grow, the Chambersburg facility will become a co-located, state-of-the-art print-on-demand and distribution center.
“Our business is growing,” says Shawn Morin, CEO of Ingram Content Group. “We are investing in the technologies that will enable us to keep up with increasing demand and better serve our customers. We are excited to be able to get more books into the world with the expansion of the Chambersburg facility to include both distribution and print-on-demand.”
“Ingram’s Chambersburg facility, and all the associates employed there, will be better equipped with the most innovative technology available,” says Shawn Everson, Ingram’s chief logistics officer.
This strategic investment means customers can expect better, faster, more efficient service. As a result of this expansion, Ingram’s nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania location will retire in October 2023. Allentown’s current print volume will be integrated into the newly upgraded Chambersburg facility. Ingram will maintain the capacity to continue to fulfill all new and existing orders without a break in service or turn-around times.
