Publishers Can Now Tap Predictive Analytics to Increase Book Discovery and Sales for Online Retail

June 1, 2017

New York, NY---Ingram Content Group and OptiQly, a marketing technology and services startup that provides actionable intelligence for online retail, today announced their collaboration to provide publishers quick and cost-effective insights to make real-time business decisions.

OptiQly provides predictive analytics for marketers to increase book discovery and sales at online retailers. With the help of Ingram, OptiQly’s tools have been geared towards Ingram’s publishing clients’ needs, offering prescriptive insights for e-commerce, social media and search to better reach consumers. This exclusive implementation of OptiQly will be available as a subscription within CoreSource, Ingram’s digital asset management and distribution platform, beginning with clients of Ingram’s distribution brands - Ingram Publisher Services, Perseus Distribution, Publisher’s Group West and Consortium Book Sales and Distribution. Ingram clients can also subscribe to the full OptiQly platform at a discount.

“Prescriptive analytics provide the next level of data insights to connect publishers to readers,” said Margaret Harrison, Director of Data Services at Ingram Content Group. “Publishers understand the importance of metadata and online marketing to access consumer demand. By pairing OptiQly’s analytics with our action-oriented CoreSource platform, we can enable publishers to eliminate the guesswork of title marketing and get better, more targeted results.”

OptiQly analyzes and interprets dozens of signals and ranking factors that impact sales performance at online retailers such as Amazon. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) make tracking performance over time easy. Practical insights provide guidance on how to optimize products for discovery and sale and identify marketing tactics to reach more consumers. Importantly, the OptiQly software prioritizes opportunities and demand across the publishers’ list, directing attention where it benefits most.

Evan Schnittman, OptiQly CEO, added, “Ingram is an ideal commercial partner for OptiQly. Our easy to understand analytics will allow publishers to determine how well a title is positioned for sale online by assessing web and social demand, discovery, and likelihood of conversion. And it does so efficiently at scale! Ingram’s tools and services provide access to thousands of publishers who can act on that information. It’s a powerful combination.”

The OptiQly platform is currently in private beta and will launch later this month. Publishers interested in using the OptiQly platform should contact their Ingram representative for more information.
