Berkeley, CA – Tuttle Publishing announces that beginning in January 2018 their titles will be sold and distributed to the industry by Publishers Group West, an Ingram Publisher Services LLC brand.
Tuttle has signed a multi-year print sales and distribution deal with Publishers Group West for distribution in the US. PGW currently distributes Tuttle’s eBooks and will continue that service as part of this deal and will also handle the publisher’s gift sales. Tuttle will leave Simon & Schuster who provided print fulfillment services for the past five years.
“The combination of PGW’s devoted and experienced sales staff and PGW’s affiliation with Ingram’s distribution efficiencies will create tremendous opportunities for growth. We look forward to a thriving distribution relationship with PGW,” said Tuttle’s President, Eric Oey.”
“We’ve maintained a strong desire and interest in working with Tuttle over the years. It has a great publishing sensibility, understands its core market, and has continued to find a way to create amazing books and build on its legacy which now extends to 70 years,” said Kevin Votel, VP Business Development for PGW.
Since its founding in 1948, Tuttle has published more than 6,000 books and today maintains an active backlist of around 1,700 titles. Many of its titles originally published in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s remain popular today—a great testament to Tuttle’s success and keen insight into delivering relevant content that stands the test of time. Today, Tuttle publishes 150 new titles a year.
